Dr. Peter Mumba
Executive Director BTG
Dr. Peter Mumba is a global health leader with over two decades of experience in epidemiology, disease surveillance, and health systems strengthening.
He has worked extensively with international organizations, including the World Health Organization and CDC, supporting ministries of health across Africa and Southeast Asia. Dr. Mumba brings deep expertise in malaria control, immunization, and digital health solutions to advance equitable healthcare delivery in low-resource settings.

Dr. Oliver Lulembo

Dr. Oliver Lulembo is a Zambian pediatrician and public health expert with over 30 years of experience advancing health systems across Southern Africa.
He brings deep expertise in malaria control and elimination, having worked with PMI, PATH, PSI, RBM, and national programs in Zambia, Malawi, and Botswana. From supporting Global Fund proposals to leading national net campaigns, Dr. Lulembo’s leadership continues to shape malaria strategy across the region. He holds advanced degrees in Pediatrics (UNZA) and Public Health (San Diego State University).

Dr. Paul Psychas

Dr. Paul Psychas is an American public health physician who has lived and served over 16 years in sub-Saharan Africa with the CDC (10 years), USAID (3 years), and Peace Corps (3.5 years).
As Resident Advisor with the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) in Ghana and Zambia he worked directly with ministries of health and USAID contractors to improve malaria strategic planning, surveillance, case management, quality of care, and operations research, with a particular focus on vector control. Until the sudden dismantling of USAID and PMI in early 2025, he jointly oversaw a $30 million-per-year malaria portfolio. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and his medical degree from the University of Florida, where he later served as clinical faculty at the College of Medicine and conducted research on the spatial epidemiology of malaria at the Emerging Pathogens Institute.

Dr. Anna Winters is a spatial epidemiologist and global health leader with over 20 years of experience strengthening health systems across the Global South.
As co-founder and CEO of Akros, she has pioneered the use of geospatial intelligence to improve disease surveillance and ensure equitable health service delivery. Dr. Winters brings a data-driven, locally grounded approach to advancing health equity at scale.

Benjamin Winters MBA

Benjamin Winters is an informatics specialist and co-founder of Akros, with deep expertise in designing and scaling digital health and geospatial systems across Africa and Asia.
He specializes in building tools that empower local health teams with real-time data for smarter decision-making. With a focus on sustainability and equity, Benjamin bridges technology and field implementation to drive lasting health impact.
